Hurley is located in the southwestern part of Virginia in Buchanan County. The people are friendly and proud of their heritage.

George Marrs, Jr.
George Marrs, Jr. is pictured on his old mule back in 1927. He was nine years old when the photo was taken. George was raised on a mountain farm on Lester's Fork at Hurley. The photo belongs to George's daughter, Denise Marrs Shafer of Hurley.
