She is my 3rd great-grandmother. In doing research, a letter from her mother was found where she was referred to as "Raney". She was born in 1849.

She was my great grandmother...her daughter Victoria was my grandma. Louranie had a son named Ray also...he was killed by a brick that was blown off during a big storm. They were in the garden and saw the storm coming and went to the house..as he rounded the house where the chimney was the stone/brick blew off and hit him in the neck/shoulder...not the head...he lived through the night only. They called him little Buddy.....my daddy was called little buddy and so was a child of one of granny Vic;s brothers.

So, this is my great grandmother, Victoria is my grandmother, I have never even seen a picture of my grandmother Victoria. Unbelievable. If anyone has any pictures of Victoria I would be overwhelmed with gratitude.

This is my great great grandmother. I have never seen a picture of her before. Her daughter, Victoria, was my mom's grandmother. My mom's mom was Louise Jackson. I love this site! Glenda Stevens

Louraney Smith was not only my 3rd great grandmother by virtue of her being the grandmother of my grandfather Ben Justus, but, she was also my great great aunt, by virtue of her being the sister of my great grandfather Marvin Smith. Marvin Smith was the father of my grandmother Eliza Smith Justus.
