Clearly the commentators here are talking about another hotel....this one was located at Devon, WV near Beech Creek, WV. This hotel has been torn down since the mid-1940s.
My widowed grandmother Rebecca Bailey (Justus) Mounts, traveled by train from Hurley, to this hotel for work. She worked in the kitchen and met her second husband widow Oce Mounts there. He worked for the railroad and often stayed and ate there. They married and he moved to Hurley. Both had children from their first marriages. Rebecca had Everett and Tennessee Justus. Oce had Frank Mounts. Together they had children Robert, Dell, Marie, twins (Barnest and Earnest Mount’s) nicknamed Garney and LeeVarney and the youngest Burton Mounts.
