David Cecil Mounts and his wife, Margaret "Peggy" Cline settled in the Tug River Area in the early 1800's, probably right after their marriage in 1809. They lived in a large hollow tree while they were building their permanent cabin. This is a picture of them standing in front of their temporary home in the early 1800's. The woman on the right is not identified.

These are my 4x great grandparents. I have always thought living in a tree would be fascinating.
They are my fourth great grandparents on my father’s side
4th great granddaughter here, from his son Michael M, son Andrew Jackson, son Charley J, son William E sr., Son William E jr.. I also thought about, how big was that tree inside.
Margaret is my 5th great aunt
I just wanted to say that my understanding is this photo was them later in life and not when they were first married. I think the lady to the right is probably one of their daughters.
